Nothing competes with the name and the location it identifies. The layout is direct and frontal, so the lettering and the street's identity read at a glance, with no decorative border or added ornament pulling the eye away.

Meaning & Symbolism

The Alte Poststrasse, or "old post road," is a thoroughfare with a long history of travel and communication in the city. Its name points back to the era when post moved along fixed routes, and the street still carries that heritage into Graz's modern streetscape. The design honours that continuity: a historic road that remains part of everyday city life, and a local landmark recognised by those who know the region.

Reading the Street on the Glass

A pint-style glass wraps a tall, curved surface, so the design runs around the body and is read as you turn the glass in your hand. Each pass of the eye meets a new stretch of the same street, which suits a piece that is meant to be looked at up close, over a drink, by someone who knows the place or simply enjoys a good sense of somewhere. It makes a thoughtful gift for a Graz connection, a traveller who has walked that route, or anyone who collects places as well as glassware.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/alte-poststrasse-graz-austria-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-LTPST-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793651027
