b152-at-austria-road-sign-shot-glass-15oz
B152-AT (Austria) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

B152-AT (Austria) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design takes the form of a road sign, and it announces its subject plainly: Austria, set out as a single, direct piece of roadside signage.

Visual Elements & Composition

The artwork is built around one central motif, the sign itself, with nothing competing for attention. Its layout is simple and frontal, the way a driver meets a sign at the roadside, so the eye lands on the message straight away. The designation B152-AT anchors the piece as a catalogued design, and the word Austria carries the composition's meaning.

Meaning & Symbolism

Road signs are among the most widely recognised forms of public design. They guide travellers, mark a place and tell a journey where it is. Here that function is turned toward Austria itself, with its geography and culture as the themes. The design reads as a nod to the country's roads and landscape, the kind of signpost that greets a visitor crossing into a new region.

A Small Sign, Held Close

A shot glass is lifted, tilted and brought near the face, so the design is seen at close range rather than from across a room. Each time the glass is raised, the sign sits directly in view, a little journey marker for whoever is pouring the toast. It makes a cheeky, warm keepsake for anyone with a fondness for Austria, or for a friend who is always planning the next trip.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/b152-at-austria-road-sign-shot-glass-15oz-GMY-SHOT-BT-1P5OZ-1FTIM-front.webp?v=1793651507
