b99-at-austria-road-sign-shot-glass-15oz
B99-AT (Austria) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

B99-AT (Austria) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design takes the country of Austria and sets it down in a single, direct code: B99-AT, displayed as a plain identifier with nothing around it to distract the eye.

Visual Elements & Composition

The composition is built on text alone. The alphanumeric code is the whole design, so the letters and numerals carry all of the visual weight, and the layout stays simple and centred on that one line. It reads like a road sign marker, with the code standing alone as the thing to be recognised at a glance. Nothing is layered or decorative; the design keeps to the code and lets its spacing and shape do the work.

Meaning & Symbolism

The suffix AT is the internationally used code for Austria, so the design identifies the nation in the most economical way possible. The prefix B99 works as a sequence marker, the kind of reference that signage uses to tell one location from another. Together the two parts turn a country into a reference point, which is why the design reads as a statement of national identity rather than a scene or a story.

Made for the Shot Glass in Hand

A shot glass is small and held close, so the code sits right at eye level as the glass is lifted. Its short, compact form suits a design built on a few characters: the whole identifier can be taken in during a single look, the way a road marker is read from the roadside. The design fits the object because both are about quick recognition, and the glass gives the code a personal, hand-held place to be seen.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/b99-at-austria-road-sign-shot-glass-15oz-GMY-SHOT-BT-1P5OZ-1FTM0-front.webp?v=1793651775
