The design, a symbol of the area's rich history and the union of its communities, is meticulously rendered across the glass surface.

Design Elements and Symbolism

The artwork replicates the quartered shield, dividing the design into four distinct sections. The top left and bottom right quarters feature a red (Gules) field adorned with three gold cinquefoils (five-petaled flowers). These cinquefoils, pierced of the field, represent the Arenberg family, former lords of the region.

The top right quarter presents a gold (Or) background crossed by a fess checky, a horizontal band checkered with three rows of silver and red. From this rises a red half-lion with blue claws and tongue, symbolizing the Counts of the Mark, reflecting the heraldry found in early municipal seals dating back to the 1400s.

In the bottom left quarter, a silver (Argent) field is depicted with two black wolves, arranged one above the other, positioned before a green, uprooted tree. This section honors the former municipality of Meldert, now a part of Lummen.

A Visual Tapestry of Heritage

The overall design is a visual tapestry of Lummen's historical origins, expertly capturing the essence of the Blason. The representation of the Arenberg family, the Counts of the Mark, and the connection to Meldert creates a compelling and historically meaningful design on the shot glass, celebrating the municipality's heritage.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/blason-ville-be-lummen-belgium-coat-of-arms-shot-glass-15oz-15oz-position1.webp?v=1768382217
