br-251-brazil-road-sign-shot-glass-15oz
BR-251 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

BR-251 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design takes the shield-shaped route marker of Brazil's BR-251 highway and sets it on its own, rendered as a clean flat graphic with nothing around it.

Visual Elements & Composition

A tall shield with a pointed base fills most of the frame in solid black, with a white field carrying the route number. The two characters of the designation, BR and 251, are the only text, and they sit centred and bold so the code reads at a glance. Black and white dominate the palette, with a small amount of grey appearing as a neutral edge tone. The composition is symmetrical and uncluttered, which is the point: the sign is the entire picture.

Meaning & Symbolism

BR-251 is a designation within Brazil's federal highway network, the numbering system that gives each national road its own identifier. Route markers like this one are the everyday language of driving there, so the shield stands for navigation, distance and the connections that roads make between towns and regions. The design honours that practical, utilitarian tradition of signage rather than adding decoration to it.

Held Close to the Glass

A shot glass is small and is lifted close to the eye, so the shield reads as a compact, sharply defined emblem at exactly the distance where its black-and-white contrast is strongest. Each time the glass is raised, the route marker comes up with it, turning a simple road sign into a conversation piece for anyone who has travelled that stretch of Brazilian highway or simply likes well-made transit graphics.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/br-251-brazil-road-sign-shot-glass-15oz-GMY-SHOT-BR251-1P5OZ-front.webp?v=1793821729
