br-366-jct-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz
BR-366 jct (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

BR-366 jct (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

This design reproduces the BR-366 route shield, the white-on-black marker that names a specific junction on Brazil's federal highway network.

Visual Elements & Composition

The artwork is built from two colours, solid black and clean white, in a flat vector style with no shading or texture. White dominates the field, roughly four parts in five, with black providing the outlines and the lettering. The centre of the composition is a double-outlined shield with a pointed bottom notch, sitting above a rounded-top rectangle. The letters BR and the numerals 366 carry the entire message, set large and legible, with nothing competing for attention.

Meaning & Symbolism

Brazilian federal highways are marked with shields bearing the letters BR followed by a route number, so this sign tells the viewer exactly which road it belongs to and nothing more. The shield is the universal language of numbered routes, a shape that lets a driver read a designation at speed. Reduced to black and white, the sign becomes a pure statement of place, a node in the country's road network rendered as typography. Its modern, minimalist treatment reflects the contemporary signage it borrows from.

Where the Route Meets the Glass

A pint glass is a tall, curved surface held in the hand and turned toward the eye as it empties, so the shield is seen in pieces and then all at once. The black outline wraps around the vessel, and the numerals rise as the glass is lifted, much as a driver picks out a route marker from a distance. It makes a quiet, cheeky conversation piece for anyone who has travelled that road or simply loves a good map detail.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/br-366-jct-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-BR366-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793802353
