br-520-jct-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz
BR-520 jct (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

BR-520 jct (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

This design is built around a single road designation: BR-520 jct, a junction on Brazil's road network, set down as plain lettering with nothing added around it.

Visual Elements & Composition

The artwork is text-led. The designation BR-520 jct sits at the centre of the composition and carries the whole design, with no decorative borders, illustrations or background motifs competing for attention. Every line of the layout serves the lettering, so the eye goes straight to the route code and the place it names. The result reads like a sign you would pass at speed: direct, legible and stripped to what matters.

Meaning & Symbolism

The "BR" prefix marks a federal highway in Brazil, and "jct" is the shorthand road maps use for a junction, the point where two routes meet and traffic changes direction. Together the lettering stands for connection and navigation, the small markers that guide drivers across a large country. The design celebrates that everyday language of geography and infrastructure, presenting a real place name as its own subject.

On the Mixing Glass

A tall, curved vessel gives the lettering a continuous surface to travel around. The designation can be read as you turn the glass in your hand, so the route code appears a phrase at a time rather than all at once, much like a sign glimpsed from a moving car. Held close and turned slowly, the artwork rewards a second look, which suits an object that is picked up, used and passed around.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/br-520-jct-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-BR520-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793780573
