br-526-jct-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz
BR-526 jct (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

BR-526 jct (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

This design takes a single road marker, BR-526 jct, and sets it on its own as a piece of Brazilian highway signage.

Visual Elements & Composition

The design is built entirely from type. The alphanumeric code BR-526 jct carries the whole composition, with no border, no illustration and no supporting imagery pulling attention away from it. The letters and numerals are set in a plain, direct layout, so the eye reads the marker in one pass. Empty space around the text does as much work as the characters themselves, giving the piece the calm, uncluttered feel of a real road sign seen from a distance.

Meaning & Symbolism

BR-526 is a designation within Brazil's federal highway network, and "jct" marks it as a junction, the point where one route meets another. The code is a navigational label: it tells a driver where they are and which way the network runs. Brazilian federal roads use this kind of letter-and-number system, so the design speaks to the logic of how the country's highways are organised, from long-distance routes to the junctions that connect them.

Crafted for the Mixing Glass

A road marker is read at a glance, and this glass is designed to be held and turned in the hand. The text sits across a vessel with a narrower base, so the code moves around the glass as you lift and tilt it. It is a fitting pairing for a travel-minded friend, or for anyone who has ever followed a junction sign to somewhere new.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/br-526-jct-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-BR526-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793783060
