br-569-jct-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz
BR-569 jct (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

BR-569 jct (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

This design takes a single roadside designation, BR-569 jct, and sets it on its own as a clean piece of road-sign typography for Brazil.

Visual Elements & Composition

The layout is spare. The route code BR-569 and the abbreviation jct for junction carry the whole composition, with "Brazil" placed alongside them as the only other element. Nothing decorative competes with the lettering. The type is set plainly and sized so the designation reads first, which is how a sign is meant to be read from a moving vehicle.

Meaning & Symbolism

In Brazil, the BR prefix marks a federal highway, and the numbered routes form the national road network that links cities, ports and regions across the country. A "jct" marker identifies a point where routes meet, the place where a driver chooses a direction. The design therefore stands for navigation itself: the moment of decision at an intersection, reduced to a code. It draws on the themes of geography, travel and transport infrastructure, and it treats an ordinary road designation as something worth looking at closely.

Made for the Mixing Glass

A mixing glass is held in the hand and turned while it is used, so the lettering is seen in motion rather than from across a room. Because the design is a single line of text with clear spacing, it stays legible from every side as the glass rotates, and the route code stays in view whether the glass is being stirred or set down. It suits a traveller or road enthusiast who keeps a route in mind, and the piece makes a practical nod to the junction each time it is picked up.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/br-569-jct-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-BR569-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793776038
