The shield has a rounded bottom with a notched point, and a double-outlined edge sits just inside its silhouette. “BR” and “758” are set in the centre in bold lettering, with the “jct” annotation beneath. The layout is strictly centred and the flat vector treatment leaves no room for texture.

Meaning & Symbolism

“BR” is the national designation for Brazil’s federal highways, which are overseen by the federal transport authority and link states, economic regions, ports and borders. The number 758 names this route within that system, and “jct” points to a junction, the place where a driver meets or leaves the road. The shield is the modern marker used across the federal network, so the design reads as a faithful record of how Brazilian routes are labelled.

On the Mug’s Curved Face

A mug is handled and turned, so the route number crosses the viewer’s line of sight as the cup moves. The shield’s outline stays intact over the curve of the ceramic, and the numerals hold their shape from the handle side and the front alike. For a graphic this plain, the mug is a suitable place to keep a route marker in sight.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/br-758-jct-brazil-road-sign-white-coffee-mug-GMY-MUG-BR758-11OZ-front.webp?v=1793835527
