brasil-estado-573-jct-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz
Brasil estado 573 jct (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

Brasil estado 573 jct (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

This design takes the plain lettering of a Brazilian road marker and sets it on the glass as a single, uncluttered line of text.

Visual Elements & Composition

The artwork is entirely typographic. The words Brasil estado 573 jct sit at the centre of the surface in a clean, modern sans-serif, with the letter spacing and weight doing the work that imagery would do elsewhere. Nothing decorative competes with the text. The numerals 573 carry the same weight as the words, so the eye moves across the lettering from one end to the other rather than settling on a single focal point.

Meaning & Symbolism

The text reads as a highway identifier. Estado means state and jct is the abbreviation for junction, so the design records a numbered route and a point where roads meet inside Brazil. Signs of this kind are how travellers orient themselves on long journeys, and the design borrows that function: a short code that tells you exactly where you are on the map. Its regional and alphanumeric character is what gives it an identity, placing it firmly in Brazil.

Made for the Mixing Glass in Hand

A mixing glass is a vessel you pick up and turn, and the lettering rewards that movement. As the glass is rotated, the text passes across the field of view in sequence, so the route code reads as a continuous line rather than a single stamp. The composition suits a surface that curves around the hand, where each word appears in turn and the junction number lands at the point you are most likely to look.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/brasil-estado-573-jct-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-BRSSTD-16OZ-1FQ7V-front.webp?v=1793681757
