brasil-estado-600-jct-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz
Brasil estado 600 jct (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

Brasil estado 600 jct (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

This is a typographic piece that sets the words Brasil, estado and 600 jct in a plain, direct arrangement, reading like a signpost lifted from a Brazilian highway.

Visual Elements & Composition

Nothing decorative competes with the lettering. The words sit in a structured, centred block, so the eye moves from the country name to the state term to the numeric junction code in a single line of reading. The alphanumeric sequence "600 jct" carries the most weight of the three, its numerals and abbreviation giving the composition a technical, sign-like rhythm. Empty space around the text does the rest of the work, keeping the design quiet and legible.

Meaning & Symbolism

The phrase belongs to the vocabulary of Brazilian road navigation. "Estado" marks the state, "600" identifies a numbered route, and "jct" signals a junction, so the design records a specific place on a specific network rather than a general idea of Brazil. It speaks to regionalism and to the way Brazilian states are identified on the ground, with the text itself acting as the marker.

Designed for the Mixing Glass

A glass is read by turning it in the hand, and this artwork rewards that habit. The text runs across a tall, curved surface, so each turn brings another fragment of the sign into view. Because the lettering is so direct, it reads cleanly from the side of the glass at arm's length, the way a road sign is meant to be read from a moving vehicle.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/brasil-estado-600-jct-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-BRSSTD-16OZ-1FQ8M-front.webp?v=1793678399
