The design is a vibrant representation of local history and the area's rich heritage.

Artwork Elements

The central element is a shield divided horizontally. A blue bar (fess) dominates the center, upon which are three elegant, five-pointed silver stars. Above the blue bar, a blue beaver, depicted in a lying position, is featured. Below the blue bar, a fish is displayed, often rendered as a pike-perch (gös), also in blue.

Symbolism

Each element of the design carries significant meaning. The beaver is a heraldic symbol that likely represents the local natural resources, potentially reflecting the importance of forestry or waterways to the region. The fish, a nod to the parish's old seal, emphasizes the importance of fishing and freshwater resources in the area. The three stars on the blue bar pay homage to a former county governor, G.E. Edelstam, and his historic ties to the area, particularly the founding of the Edelvik estate.

The design, originally granted in 1947, is a proud emblem of Burträsk's past, carefully preserved to honor its heritage and provide an authentic visual testament to the history of the region.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/burtrsk-municipalsamhlle-vapen-sweden-coat-of-arms-shot-glass-15oz-15oz-position1.webp?v=1768399468
https://gomugyourself.com/products/burtrask-municipalsamhalle-vapen-sweden-coat-of-arms-shot-glass-1-5oz
