The design is a miniature heraldic masterpiece, packed with symbolic imagery.

The Shield

The central element is a shield, divided vertically (per pale). At the base, a wavy horizontal band gracefully stretches across, split in silver (white) and blue, representing the Fensterbach creek that gives the municipality its name.

Dexter Side

On the left side of the shield (from the viewer's perspective) the design features a black background. Centrally placed on this dark field is a gold (yellow) axe, standing vertically. This axe symbolizes the initial clearing of the forests which were required to establish the town of Dürnsricht, one of the villages that make up the modern municipality.

Sinister Side

The right side of the shield presents a gold (yellow) field where we find a striking red griffin’s head, facing left. Uniquely, the back of the griffin's neck features a human face. This element pays homage to the Lords of Saalhausen, who ruled Wolfring during the 16th century and built a castle in the area, thus representing the local feudal past.

Overall Impression

The overall design is a vibrant and historically rich representation of Fensterbach. The coat of arms, as depicted on this shot glass, tells the story of the municipality through a combination of natural elements, historical activities, and feudal lineage.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/deu-fensterbach-coa-germany-coat-of-arms-shot-glass-15oz-15oz-position1.webp?v=1765591582
