The pennant is a flat triangle that tapers toward the staff, and the vertical strips of the striped pole run alongside it. The shapes are simple, the colours are sharply separated, and the flat vector finish keeps every edge clean.

Meaning & Symbolism

The flag was the command standard of a cavalry brigade, a lovasdandár command, within the Hungarian National Army of the post-war period. It was adopted on 15 November 1919, and it uses the red, white and green of the national colours as its whole palette. The staff and pennant form is a recognised signal of command, so the flag speaks to military authority as much as to national identity. It records a specific moment in the army's reorganisation after the First World War.

A Pennant Lifted in the Hand

On a mug the triangular pennant wraps the curved white surface, and the striped staff runs up one side as the cup turns. The strong white ground lets the crimson and green stand out, and the simple layout reads clearly from the front of the cup.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/flag-of-the-command-of-a-cavalry-brigade-of-the-hungarian-national-army-1919-with-staff-hungary-white-coffee-mug-11oz-position1.webp?v=1756738950
https://gomugyourself.com/products/flag-of-the-command-of-a-cavalry-brigade-of-the-hungarian-national-army-1919-with-staff-hungary-white-coffee-mug
