Along the borders runs a red and green flame pattern, which frames the field and draws the eye inward. At the centre sits the crowned small coat of arms of Hungary, encircled by a wreath of oak and olive branches. The palette is limited to white, red and green, and the flat vector construction keeps the emblem crisp.

Meaning & Symbolism

The flag was adopted on 1 January 1939 and remained in use until 8 May 1945, covering the years of the Second World War. The crowned arms of Hungary place the command under national authority, while the oak and olive branches add a traditional military note to the heraldry. The red and green flame border and the national palette tie the corps standard to the wider Hungarian army, the Royal Hungarian Defence Forces, or Magyar Királyi Honvédség.

The Crest Across a Mug

A mug is turned as it is lifted, so the crowned arms drift around the curve and the wreath rotates into view. The large white field gives the emblem a calm setting, and the flame border keeps the edges lively as the cup moves. It is a formal piece of wartime heraldry, now carried to the breakfast table.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/flag-of-the-command-of-a-corps-of-the-royal-hungarian-defence-forces-1939-hungary-white-coffee-mug-11oz-position1.webp?v=1756759173
https://gomugyourself.com/products/flag-of-the-command-of-a-corps-of-the-royal-hungarian-defence-forces-1939-hungary-white-coffee-mug
