A black seagull in flight sits on the field as the main figure, drawn in a flat vector style, with a triangle as the only other shape. The layout is sparse, so the bird and its contrast with the white ground carry the image.

Meaning & Symbolism

The flag represents the command of an air brigade of the Royal Hungarian Air Force, and it is recorded in the Katonai Zseb-lexikon, the Military Pocket Lexicon, from 1939. A bird in flight suits an air formation's identity, and the emblem documents how Hungary marked its aerial command structure in the years before the war.

Turned in the Hand

A mug is turned in the hand and seen at close range, so the bird and its white ground come into view as the cup is lifted. The high contrast between the black figure and the pale field reads clearly from the side of the mug.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/flag-of-the-command-of-an-air-brigade-of-the-royal-hungarian-air-force-1939-hungary-white-coffee-mug-11oz-position1.webp?v=1756758925
https://gomugyourself.com/products/flag-of-the-command-of-an-air-brigade-of-the-royal-hungarian-air-force-1939-hungary-white-coffee-mug
