A red and green flame border runs around the edge in a scalloped pattern, and it is the boldest colour on the flag. At the centre, the small coat of arms of Hungary wears the crown of St Stephen. Oak and olive branches frame the shield on either side, and gold appears in the fine details of the heraldry. The flat vector rendering keeps the lines sharp and the layout formal.

Meaning & Symbolism

The arms and the crown place the flag within the Hungarian state, and the red and green border carries the national colours into the design. Oak and olive branches encircle the emblem, a classic way of signalling strength and peace together. The afloat version served as the ensign of vessels belonging to the Royal Hungarian Army River Forces, so the flag records how the military's riverine service presented itself during the years from 1939 to 1945.

Shown from Every Side

A mug is turned in the hand, so the crowned shield comes round to the front while the scalloped border travels around the cup. The branches give the emblem a defined outline that holds its shape at close range, a good match for a mug that sits close to the face during a morning coffee.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/flag-of-the-commander-of-a-corps-of-the-royal-hungarian-defence-forces-1939-1945-afloat-hungary-white-coffee-mug-11oz-position1.webp?v=1756758694
https://gomugyourself.com/products/flag-of-the-commander-of-a-corps-of-the-royal-hungarian-defence-forces-1939-1945-afloat-hungary-white-coffee-mug
