irl-l1028-ireland-road-sign-shot-glass-15oz
IRL L1028 (Ireland) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

IRL L1028 (Ireland) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design takes the form of a road sign, with the letters IRL and the reference L1028 setting out its subject: Ireland, the island and nation.

Visual Elements & Composition

The composition is built around the sign itself, a single bold image with no decoration added around it. The abbreviation IRL is the central element, and the L1028 designation sits within the same frame, so the eye moves straight from the sign's identity to its country. Nothing competes with the lettering. The layout reads as clear and direct, in keeping with the way road signs are designed to be understood at a glance.

Meaning & Symbolism

IRL is the internationally recognised code for Ireland, so the design works as a national marker rather than a picture of scenery. It speaks to national identity and cultural heritage, the shared sense of place that a country's signs quietly carry. The L1028 reference places the piece within its own series, where each design is a plain statement of its subject.

Life on a Shot Glass

A shot glass is small, and it is lifted and held close, so this sign is seen up near the eye rather than from across a room. Its single, uncluttered message suits that closeness: the IRL code and its numerals are read in a glance as the glass is raised, a neat bit of Irish identity for a toast with friends.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/irl-l1028-ireland-road-sign-shot-glass-15oz-GMY-SHOT-RLL-1P5OZ-1DTSR-front.webp?v=1793589361
