It is built to be read quickly from a distance, with one clear message at its centre. The MG-232 code and the Brazil theme are its two defining subjects, and the presentation is deliberately streamlined, so nothing competes with the designation or the place name.

Meaning & Symbolism

MG-232 works as a reference code, the kind of designation that identifies one piece within a larger series. Brazil supplies the subject. Pairing the two in a road sign turns a national theme into a signpost, something you read as you pass it, and the code gives it the feel of a numbered route marker.

On the Mixing Glass

A mixing glass is a tall vessel that gets lifted, tilted and turned in the hand, so the design travels around a curved surface as the drink is stirred and poured. The glass narrows toward its base, which gives the sign a tapering face to wrap around. The message sits where the eye lands as the glass is raised, and the code and theme are read in the moment before the first sip. For anyone who likes their travel signposts served with a drink, it is a cheeky way to keep a favourite place in the rotation.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/mg-232-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-MG232-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793764558
