mg-250-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz
MG-250 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

MG-250 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

This design takes a road designation as its subject: the code MG-250, set against the name Brazil, reads as a single, deliberate sign.

Visual Elements & Composition

The artwork is built around one central element, the MG-250 designation itself, with no decorative clutter around it. Its layout is simple and direct, so the number and the place name do all the work and the eye lands on them first. Nothing competes for attention, which gives the piece the clean, road-sign clarity its title promises.

Meaning & Symbolism

MG is the abbreviation for Minas Gerais, one of Brazil's states, and state highways there carry codes like this one to mark their route through the region. The design turns that everyday piece of navigation into a graphic statement, honouring the way roads map a landscape and connect its towns. Its series-style numbering also points to the wider family of route signs it belongs to, making each one a small entry in a larger set.

Made for the Hand

A mixing glass is a tall vessel that gets lifted, tilted and turned, so the design has to hold up as it travels around the curve of the glass. The MG-250 sign stays legible from every angle, so whoever is holding the glass can read the route whichever way it faces. It is a playful nod for anyone who has ever navigated by a highway number, and a conversation starter for the next round.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/mg-250-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-MG250-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793764882
