mg-265-brazil-road-sign-white-coffee-mug
MG-265 (Brazil) (Road Sign) White Coffee Mug

MG-265 (Brazil) (Road Sign) White Coffee Mug

An outlined black pentagon on white, carrying the route designation "MG 265" in a single clean, centred block.

Visual Elements & Composition

Black and white are the only colours, and the outline is what carries the design. The pentagon is drawn as a black border around an open white centre, which lets the ground show through and keeps the badge light on the page. "MG" is set at the top of the shape and "265" beneath it, both in plain upright capitals and numerals. There is no background pattern or secondary element, so the layout depends entirely on the proportions of the shield and the clarity of the lettering. The flat vector finish keeps each line crisp.

Meaning & Symbolism

The shield is modelled on the route markers used on Brazilian state highways, where a two-letter code names the state and a number names the road. "MG" stands for Minas Gerais, the inland state known for its mountain ranges, historic towns and mining past. Route 265 is one of the numbered roads within that network. The design reduces a practical road sign to its shape and code, and the regional reference is carried entirely by those two elements.

In the Hand, Across the Table

A mug is turned as it is lifted, so the outline first shows as an angled edge of black, then opens into the full pentagon as the cup is rotated to face you. The open centre reads clearly against the curved white wall, and the figures stay legible across a table. It is a quiet, orderly design for a cup that gets reached for many times a day.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/mg-265-brazil-road-sign-white-coffee-mug-GMY-MUG-MG265-11OZ-front.webp?v=1793833538
