The inner rule sits just inside the outer edge, giving the badge a double outline that holds the eye. The letters MG run across the top and the numerals 286 fill the lower field. The result is plain and utilitarian: two lines of text, one shape, and no decoration beyond the badge itself.

Meaning & Symbolism

The pentagon is the form used for state route markers, and MG is the abbreviation for Minas Gerais, one of Brazil's states. The number 286 identifies one road within that network. The piece translates the working language of a road sign into a graphic, so the badge reads as a route reference that could sit on any state highway, presented in a modern, minimal style.

Shaped for a Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and lifted close to the eye, so the badge is seen at the scale of a hand rather than from a distance. At that size the bold letters and the double border stay clear, and the pentagon's angled edges give the glass a crisp, graphic outline to catch the light.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/mg-286-brazil-road-sign-shot-glass-15oz-GMY-SHOT-MG286-1P5OZ-front.webp?v=1793818978
