mg-417-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz
MG-417 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

MG-417 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

This design turns a road sign into a piece of Brazilian graphic identity, built around the code MG-417 and the country it belongs to.

Visual Elements & Composition

The artwork is organised like a road sign, with the route designation as its central element. The numerals and letters MG-417 carry the composition, and the word Brazil anchors the piece as its geographic reference. Nothing competes with the code. The layout is direct and legible, so the eye reads the designation first and the context second, the way a driver would read a sign passing at speed.

Meaning & Symbolism

The MG prefix is the abbreviation for Minas Gerais, one of Brazil's largest states, and the number 417 identifies a specific route within its network. A road designation is a practical marker, yet on a sign it also tells travellers where they are and where the road leads. The design takes that everyday function and gives it a place of its own, celebrating a corner of Brazil through the signage that connects its towns and landscapes.

Shaping the Mixing Glass Experience

A mixing glass is a tall, narrowing vessel that sits in the palm and turns as it is stirred, so the sign wraps around a curved surface rather than sitting flat. Each time the glass is lifted, the designation passes across the eye at an angle, a small moment of recognition for anyone who knows the route and a conversation starter for anyone who does not. It is a good match for someone who collects places as well as drinks, and a thoughtful pick for a friend with a connection to Brazil.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/mg-417-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-MG417-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793756935
