A pentagon outline with an inner border forms the shield, and the characters MG sit above the numerals 459 in the centre. The flat vector style keeps every edge hard and every mark legible, so the sign reads as a single, direct emblem rather than a scene.

Meaning & Symbolism

Brazilian state routes are identified by a two-letter state code followed by a number, and this design reproduces that system faithfully. MG is the code for Minas Gerais, a large inland state known for its historic towns and mountain landscapes, and 459 is the route number on the shield. The pentagonal shape is the standard form for state highway markers in Brazil, so the design speaks through the language of the road itself rather than through imagery of the country.

On the Shot Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the shield is seen at a few centimetres rather than across a room. The pentagon fits the rounded profile of the glass, and the letters and numerals are large enough to read at a glance when the glass is set down on the table. Turn it toward the drinker and the route marker faces them directly.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/mg-459-brazil-road-sign-shot-glass-15oz-GMY-SHOT-MG459-1P5OZ-front.webp?v=1793818575
