mg-496-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz
MG-496 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

MG-496 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

This design is a road sign, rendered as a bold graphic built around the designation MG-496 and the country of Brazil.

Visual Elements & Composition

The artwork is organised around its own identifier. The numerals MG-496 sit at the centre of the composition, read first and read clearly, as a road sign's code would be. The word Brazil accompanies them, anchoring the sign to a single place. Nothing competes with the lettering, so the eye moves straight from the code to the country and back again.

Meaning & Symbolism

A road sign exists to give information at a glance, to a driver passing at speed. This piece borrows that job. Its designation tells you where you are, the way a route marker does on a long journey, and the Brazil label places the reference within a specific country. The theme is geographic: a point on a map, named and marked, with the mood kept neutral and direct.

Made for the Mixing Glass

A mixing glass is a tall, curved vessel that you turn in your hand while stirring and pouring, so the design wraps around that curve rather than sitting on a flat face. Because the lettering runs around the body, it stays readable from the front and reappears as the glass turns, much like a sign glimpsed from a passing car. Each time the glass is lifted, the designation comes back into view, which suits a piece that is meant to be picked up and used again and again.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/mg-496-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-MG496-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793763985
