The letters and numerals of P29-BY carry the design, with the country's name setting the context beside them. Nothing is decorative for its own sake. The layout is clean and concise, so the code reads at a glance, and the artwork relies on that clarity rather than on crowded detail.

Meaning & Symbolism

The "BY" in the code is the internationally recognised two-letter identifier for Belarus, a landlocked country in Eastern Europe that shares borders with Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Russia and Ukraine. The design therefore stands for national identity, geography and heritage in their most direct form: a country named through its own shorthand. It suits anyone who wants to show an affiliation with Belarus, an interest in its place on the map, or a connection to its culture.

Designed for the Color Morphing Mug

A mug is held in the hand and turned as it is drunk from, so the design is met at close range, one side at a time. This mug holds its artwork in a particular way: the design is faint when the mug is cold and comes into view once a hot drink is poured in. The national mark, in other words, appears gradually, as the morning coffee warms the cup. It is a small reveal that rewards the habit of turning the mug to see what has come up.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/p29-by-belarus-road-sign-color-changing-mug-11oz-GMY-MUG-PBY-11OZ-28-front.webp?v=1793659878
