Peter Irniq Arms (Canada) (Coat of Arms) Shot Glass - Design Description

This shot glass showcases the distinguished Coat of Arms of Peter Irniq, a vibrant example of Canadian heraldry deeply rooted in Inuit culture. The design, granted by the Canadian Heraldic Authority, presents a rich tapestry of symbolism representing Mr. Irniq's heritage and his service as the Commissioner of Nunavut.

The Shield

The central element, the shield, is dominated by an azure (blue) field. At its heart is an inuksuk, a stone landmark crucial for navigation and representing guidance and direction within Inuit culture. In the upper-right (dexter chief) of the shield, an Inuit drum and beater are crossed in saltire (X-shaped), signifying joy and happiness, fundamental elements of Inuit traditions.

The Crest

Above the shield, the crest features a demi (half) Inuit man holding a drum and beater. This figure is rendered in "proper" colors, reflecting Mr. Irniq's personal connection to his heritage and spirit.

Supporters

Flanking the shield are the supporters. On the right (dexter) stands a muskox, a powerful symbol of Arctic wildlife and the Inuit's relationship with their environment, positioned on a snow bank. On the left (sinister) a ringed seal, also "proper," emerges from stylized barry wavy of blue and silver, representing the waters and marine life integral to Inuit life.

The Motto

The design is completed by the motto, inscribed in Inuinnaqtun and Inuktitut: "ᐃᓄᐃᓐᓄᒃ ᐃᓄᐃᓐᓄᒃ", meaning "Let us move forward," conveying a message of unity and progress within the Inuit community.

Compact, heavy-based shot glasses made from clear, restaurant-grade glass. One standard size (1.5 oz / β‰ˆ44.3 ml) β€” sturdy, stack-friendly, and built to handle frequent service without fuss.

These shot glasses feel solid in the hand thanks to a thick, weighty base that keeps them steady on busy bar tops. The walls are even and clear, giving a nice, unobstructed view of the pour; the rim is smoothed for comfortable sipping.

They’re engineered for regular use: consistent dimensions, dependable weight, and a simple silhouette that suits both casual venues and more formal tasting counters. Designed to perform rather than show off.

  • Material: 100% clear glass for pure clarity and clean presentation.
  • Capacity: 1.5 oz (β‰ˆ44.3 ml) β€” standard shot measure.
  • Base: heavy solid glass base that reduces tipping and improves balance.
  • Construction: restaurant-grade durability for frequent handling and washing.
  • Print-ready: suitable for single-sided print applications that withstand typical use.

Perfect for quick pours, samplers, and neat shots. Their compact footprint makes them easy to place on trays and tasting lines, while the heavier base keeps things steady during service.

  1. Bar service: quick, consistent pours β€” less wobble when carrying a tray of shots.
  2. Tastings: uniform size is handy for sampling flights or spirit tastings.
  3. Events: robust enough for pop-ups, festivals, and busy bartending shifts.

Storage tip: store upright and avoid tight stacking to protect rims and preserve clarity.

Dishwasher-safe for everyday cleaning β€” place on the top rack and use a normal household cycle. Repeated exposure to very high commercial temperatures can shorten glass life, so choose gentler programs where practical.

When you want to extend clarity and finish: hand-wash with warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft cloth; dry right away to avoid water spots. Handle by the body (not the rim) to reduce accidental chipping.

One size only: 1.5 oz (β‰ˆ44.3 ml). Use the dimensions below for shelving, packaging, or tray planning.
