The crownless small coat of arms sits at the middle of the square, with its double cross and triple mount clearly drawn in flat vector shapes. A flame-pattern border in red and forest green runs around the edge, framing the white field in a single, tightly controlled band of colour.

Meaning & Symbolism

The coat of arms of Hungary is the central national emblem, and the double cross on its triple mount ties the regimental colour to the long heraldic tradition of the state. The red, white and green palette carries the national colours into the army. This colour was carried by the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Regiments of the division, so it identified a formation as well as the country it served.

On the Ceramic Mug

A mug is turned in the hand, so the flame border moves around the body of the cup as the drinker rotates it. The white ground keeps the arms clear, and the coat of arms reads at the same height as the eye when the mug is lifted.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/regimental-colour-of-the-1st-infantry-division-of-the-hungarian-defence-forces-1946-1949-hungary-white-coffee-mug-11oz-position1.webp?v=1772624907
https://gomugyourself.com/products/regimental-colour-of-the-1st-infantry-division-of-the-hungarian-defence-forces-1946-1949-hungary-white-coffee-mug
