rj-101-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz
RJ-101 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

RJ-101 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

This design is a road sign that carries one identifier, RJ-101, and a single place name, Brazil, with nothing else competing for attention.

Visual Elements & Composition

The composition is built around the alphanumeric designation RJ-101, which sits at the centre and takes up most of the field. The letters and numerals are the dominant element, and the regional reference to Brazil sits alongside them as a secondary line. The layout is clean and uncluttered, with straight edges and no decorative flourishes, so the sign reads quickly and directly.

Meaning & Symbolism

The code follows the state-road numbering used across Brazil. The letters RJ are the abbreviation for Rio de Janeiro state, and the number 101 places this route within that network. A road sign of this kind exists to guide travellers, so the design carries the sense of a route, a direction and a place you are passing through. It is a designation rather than a picture, and its meaning comes from that function.

Why This Works on a Mixing Glass

A mixing glass is tall and narrow, and it is held close while you stir or pour, so the sign is read at arm's length rather than from the roadside. The numerals stay legible as the glass turns in the hand, and the sign's straight edges sit neatly against the glass's gently tapering sides. Like a road sign, the glass does two jobs in turn, mixing and serving, and the design rewards a second look for anyone who wants a little Brazilian road-trip flavour with their next round.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/rj-101-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-RJ101-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793750100
