rj-115-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz
RJ-115 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

RJ-115 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

This design takes the look of a road sign and sets a single identifier, RJ-115, against the name of Brazil, reducing a route marker to its essentials.

Visual Elements & Composition

Text does all the work here. The alphanumeric code RJ-115 sits at the centre of the composition, with the Brazil designation placed alongside it so the two read as a pair. There is no illustration, no border clutter and no decorative filler. The layout is ordered and deliberate, with the characters given room to breathe, which is what gives the piece its clean, modern feel and its quiet, professional tone.

Meaning & Symbolism

Road signs exist to identify and direct, and this artwork borrows that purpose. The code RJ is the abbreviation for Rio de Janeiro state, and 115 is the number that marks this route within Brazil's road network. Put together, the identifier becomes a kind of signpost: a reference point that places the viewer in a specific Brazilian location. The piece celebrates the idea that a simple code can carry a whole place inside it.

Made for the Mixing Glass in Hand

A glass is read by turning it, and the RJ-115 composition is built to be read that way. The identifier and the Brazil label stay compact and legible as the glass moves through the hand, so the sign-like structure reads clearly from every angle rather than only from the front. Its restrained, text-led design suits an everyday object that is picked up, carried and set down again, and it gives the glass a distinct Brazilian identity whenever it is in use.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/rj-115-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-RJ115-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793747041
