rj-122-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz
RJ-122 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

RJ-122 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

This design takes the form of a road sign, with the alphanumeric code RJ-122 set at its centre as the single focal point.

Visual Elements & Composition

The layout is spare and direct. The code RJ-122 dominates the surface, its letters and numerals set large and legible so the identifier reads at a glance. Around it, the word Brazil anchors the sign to its country, and the sign's framing keeps everything in a single, contained field with no decorative clutter. The result looks like a marker you would meet on a highway, reduced to its essentials.

Meaning & Symbolism

Road signs exist to tell you where you are and where a route leads, and this design borrows that job. The prefix RJ is the abbreviation for the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro, so the code places the road within a specific region, while the number 122 identifies it among the state's routes. The design pairs that technical cataloguing with the country name, giving a clear sense of identity: a road that belongs to a particular place and is known by its number.

Made for the Hand, Read at Close Range

A road sign is read as you pass it, and this design rewards the same kind of quick glance. On a pint glass the sign wraps the tall, curved body, so the code turns with your hand as you lift it, and the identifier appears in full each time you look down at your drink. It suits a gift for someone who has a road, a route or a region close to their heart, and it works best when someone can read the sign from across the table.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/rj-122-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-RJ122-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793747152
