rj-131-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz
RJ-131 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

RJ-131 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

The RJ-131 Brazil design takes Brazil as its single subject and presents it in the format of a road sign, built to be read at a glance.

Visual Elements & Composition

The composition is direct and uncluttered. Nothing sits beside the central subject to compete with it, so the eye moves straight to Brazil and stays there. The road-sign framing gives the image the clarity of a marker meant for quick reading, with the core theme occupying the centre of the field. The RJ-131 identifier anchors the piece as a catalogued entry, and the restrained layout lets the subject carry the design on its own.

Meaning & Symbolism

A road sign tells you where you are and what lies ahead, and here that job is pointed at a country. Brazil is the whole message: its place on the map and its identity, a reference point you can pick out instantly. The RJ-131 code places the design within its own numbered series, so it reads as a deliberate sign in a set of place-based pieces rather than a loose scene.

On the Mixing Glass

A road sign is built to be seen from a distance, yet on this glass it comes close. Held in the hand, the design wraps the curved wall of the vessel, so the sign is read in fragments as the glass is lifted and tilted at the bar or the kitchen counter. Brazil stays in view from whichever side faces you, which makes it a talking point for anyone who mixes a drink with it. It suits a friend who likes a bold, direct theme and a glass that does more than one job.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/rj-131-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-RJ131-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793747321
