rj-136-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz
RJ-136 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

RJ-136 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

This design takes its name from a road designation, RJ-136, and places it under the theme of Brazil, so the artwork reads as a piece of regional signage rather than a picture of a landscape.

Visual Elements & Composition

The composition is built around the code itself. RJ-136 is the central identifier, and the surrounding details stay restrained so the designation carries the image. The layout is clean and direct, with no extraneous scenery pulling the eye away from the lettering and numerals.

Meaning & Symbolism

The letters RJ are the standard abbreviation for Rio de Janeiro state, and the number marks a specific route within it. Road signs exist to tell travellers where they are and where they are heading, and this design keeps that purpose: it is a marker of place, set in the Brazilian context its title establishes.

On the Mixing Glass

A mixing glass is a tall, narrowing vessel that sits in the hand and turns as it is poured from, so the design is seen in motion rather than at a distance. The code sits at eye level as the glass is lifted, and the spirit of a road sign suits a drink made for a journey. For anyone who collects places, it is a gift with a destination printed on it.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/rj-136-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-RJ136-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793750589
