The RJ-149 designation is the dominant element, presented as a sign-style graphic that echoes the road signage its title refers to. Nothing competes with it: there are no decorative borders, scenic backdrops or secondary motifs, only the code and the Brazil reference, arranged with plenty of open space around them.

Meaning & Symbolism

The "RJ" prefix marks Rio de Janeiro state, and the number identifies a specific state highway within its network. Brazilian road designations of this kind are how drivers and mapmakers locate a route across the country's regions, so the code works as a regional identifier that many Brazilians recognise at a glance. Set against the word Brazil, the design turns a functional road reference into a statement of place and pride, celebrating geography and the regional identity that these codes carry.

Designed for the Pint Glass

A road sign is read at a distance, but this artwork is read up close. On a tall glass, the design wraps a continuous curved surface, so the code is seen as you lift the glass and turn it in the hand. Because the glass doubles as a mixing and serving vessel, the graphic is present at every stage of a drink, from the first pour to the last sip, keeping the road reference in view throughout.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/rj-149-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-RJ149-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793750818
