rj-150-brazil-road-sign-shot-glass-15oz
RJ-150 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

RJ-150 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

A pentagonal state route shield in black and white, with the letters RJ stacked above the number 150, sets the whole design in a few hard lines.

Visual Elements & Composition

The shield is drawn as a flat vector in black on a white ground, with a fine inner border that echoes the pentagonal outline. Black letters RJ sit at the top and the route number 150 below them, so the text forms a compact column that fills the shape. A trace of grey appears at the edges, but black and white carry the design. The layout is symmetrical and centred, with nothing outside the marker competing for attention.

Meaning & Symbolism

The route shield is the standard way a numbered highway is identified on a sign, and it works as a compact code: RJ names the state, Rio de Janeiro, and 150 names the road within that state's network. The design is modern and utilitarian. It refers to Brazilian road signage as a system for finding one's way, not to any particular landscape, so the viewer reads it as a route marker first.

Built for the Glass

A shot glass is small and held close, so the shield is seen from a few inches away, with the pentagon's point and the stacked lettering both in view at once. The clean black lines stand out against the clear glass and the white field of the design, and they give the piece a crisp, graphic presence. It is a small sign for a small vessel, made to be read up close.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/rj-150-brazil-road-sign-shot-glass-15oz-GMY-SHOT-RJ150-1P5OZ-front.webp?v=1793818300
