The alphanumeric designation RJ-220 is the central element, and the word Brazil sits beside it as the regional marker. Nothing else competes for attention, so the sign reads as a single, direct statement. The layout is clean and focused, with the lettering doing all the work.

Meaning & Symbolism

A road designation is a way of naming a route so that travellers can find it on a map and follow it on the ground. The RJ prefix points to the state of Rio de Janeiro, and the number identifies one road within that network. The artwork turns that everyday wayfinding code into an emblem of place, a reminder that every journey begins with a name on a sign.

Shaped for the Mixing Glass

A road sign is flat and upright, and this glass offers it a tall, curved surface that narrows toward the base. The design wraps around the body as you lift it, so the code is seen in turns as the glass moves from the bar to the table. It is a fitting pairing for a drink that is mixed, poured and passed along a route of its own.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/rj-220-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-RJ220-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793751880
