rj-222-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz
RJ-222 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

RJ-222 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

This design takes a road designation and sets it against the name of a country, and the result reads like a marker you would pass on a long drive.

Visual Elements & Composition

The artwork is minimalist and text-led. The designation RJ-222 and the word Brazil carry the whole composition, with no decorative extras competing for attention. The lettering is clean and direct, so the code and the country are read as one plain statement. Nothing is layered or ornamented, which keeps the focus on the typography and the spacing between the two elements.

Meaning & Symbolism

The RJ prefix is the abbreviation for Rio de Janeiro state, and the numbering follows the state road system used across Brazil. Placing that administrative code beside the national name ties a local route to a wider identity. The design treats the road sign as a symbol of order: a short, systematic label that tells you exactly where you are. It is a neat idea, reducing a whole network of roads and places to a few characters and one country name.

Where the Design Meets the Glass

A road sign is built to be read at a glance, and this mixing glass gives the label room to do that. Its sides taper toward a narrower base, so the lettering sits on a clear, tall face that is easy to take in while the glass is held or set down on the bar. Pour a drink, stir it, and the designation stays in view, like a waymarker at the side of the road. It is a sharp, understated piece for anyone who likes their barware with a bit of cartography in it.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/rj-222-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-RJ222-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793751831
