rn131-ar-argentina-road-sign-shot-glass-15oz
RN131-AR (Argentina) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

RN131-AR (Argentina) (Road Sign) Shot Glass 1.5oz

This design takes its subject from a road sign: the route code RN131-AR, set against the Argentine context its name establishes.

Visual Elements & Composition

The composition rests on the designation itself. The letters and numerals of RN131-AR carry the piece, arranged as the central focus rather than surrounded by decoration. Each character is read in turn, the way a driver takes in a route marker from the roadside, so the layout feels direct and uncluttered. The text is the image.

Meaning & Symbolism

In Argentina, RN stands for Ruta Nacional, a national route, and 131 is the number that identifies this particular road within that network. The suffix AR ties the code to Argentina as a whole. Together they turn a piece of signage into a compact map reference: a single road, located by a single code, within a country's wider system of highways. The design celebrates that kind of ordered identification, where a few characters tell you exactly where you are.

Raised Close, Read Close

A shot glass is small, lifted and held close, so this design is seen at the same short distance as a toast. The route code sits at the centre of the glass where it can be read at a glance as the drink is raised. It makes a fitting piece for anyone who collects Argentine road signage, or who has a connection to a stretch of road that carries this number.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/rn131-ar-argentina-road-sign-shot-glass-15oz-GMY-SHOT-RNR-1P5OZ-1FVM8-front.webp?v=1793608543
