White fills most of the layout, and sea green forms the bordered sign that sits at its centre, with the route number set large and bold inside a rounded-rectangle frame. Nothing competes with the numerals. The flat vector drawing has the crisp, utilitarian clarity of real roadside signage, so the number reads at a glance, even from a distance of several metres.

Meaning & Symbolism

Saskatchewan's rural municipal highways are numbered within the 700-series system, and this marker identifies Highway 702 as one of those local roads. Markers of this type carry a wheat sheaf icon, a nod to the province's agricultural heritage and to the farmland these roads serve. The design therefore carries a whole regional story in a single number: a road, a grid of fields, and the everyday navigation of people who live out across the prairie.

Made for the Mug Turned in Hand

A mug is a object you turn slowly while you hold it, so a sign that works from one clear centrepiece suits it well. The green rectangle sits square in the middle of the white field, and as the cup rotates the route number comes into view and passes again, like a road seen from the window of a passing car. It is a quiet, cheeky joke for anyone who has ever navigated by rural route number, and a warm way to start the morning with a little piece of Saskatchewan's roads.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/saskatchewan-route-702-canada-road-sign-white-coffee-mug-GMY-MUG-SSKRT-11OZ-1FPAW-front.webp?v=1793860880
