The designation sits at the centre of the layout, and its lettering and numerals carry the whole image. Negative space does much of the work, giving the piece the calm, minimalist quality that runs through its themes.

Meaning & Symbolism

Road signs are built to be read in an instant, and that is the point here. The designation reads as an official, national-style marker, so the design treats Andorra as a place with its own identity, reduced to its essentials. The subject is the sovereign nation itself, the Pyrenees country between France and Spain, presented through the visual language of regional signage and European identifiers.

Designed for a Small Moment

A shot glass is small and held close, lifted and turned in the hand before it is raised. The sign's bold, simple shapes suit that close range: the designation is clear at arm's length and rewards a second look as the glass catches the light. It is a fitting piece for a toast to travel memories, a Pyrenean connection, or a friend who keeps a map of favourite places.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/schild-cs-420-ad-andorra-road-sign-shot-glass-15oz-GMY-SHOT-SCHCS-1P5OZ-1FVYF-front.webp?v=1793595086
