The SP-072 code sits at the heart of the artwork, with the regional reference Brazil carried alongside it. The layout is clean and uncluttered, with no competing decoration, so the identifier reads at a glance. The design is styled as a road sign, and its straightforward, neutral presentation lets the lettering and numerals do all the work.

Meaning & Symbolism

SP-072 is a state highway designation from São Paulo, one of Brazil's largest states. Brazilian state roads carry the two-letter state prefix followed by a number, so the code SP-072 places this road within the state's network, while the word Brazil anchors it to the country. Signs like this are how travellers find their way, which gives the design its quiet theme of direction and journey.

Made for the Mixing Glass

A mixing glass is held in the hand while it is stirred, and the design is seen from close range as the drink is poured and lifted. Because the code and name are set directly in the centre, they stay in view as the glass is turned, so the road marker remains legible from every side of the vessel. It makes a good talking point for anyone who has driven, or plans to drive, the roads of São Paulo, and it suits a gift for a traveller or someone with a fondness for Brazil.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/sp-072-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-SP072-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793736505
