The SP-122 identifier and the word Brazil carry the image, with no decorative border or background clutter pulling attention away from them. Numerals and lettering do the work of the picture, and the layout reads quickly, the way a route marker does when it is passed at speed. The mood is neutral, so the design communicates through clarity of form rather than through emotion or ornament.

Meaning & Symbolism

Road numbering is a practical language. A code like SP-122 tells a driver where they are: SP marks the state of São Paulo, and the number places the route within its network. Built around that code, the artwork becomes a quiet tribute to Brazil's road system and to the everyday act of finding one's way across a large country. It is a design about identification, about a place named precisely and held in a single short sequence of characters.

On the Mixing Glass

A mixing glass is a tall, curved vessel that sits in the hand and is turned as it is used, so the design wraps around a surface rather than sitting flat. The clear sides let the lettering and numerals show through the glass as it is lifted and tilted. Gift it to someone who has a road trip, a Brazilian connection, or a fondness for maps and route markers, and the glass becomes a small, practical reminder of a journey.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/sp-122-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-SP122-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793689130
