There are no border motifs, no illustrated landmarks and no decorative flourishes, so the lettering becomes the image. The composition is clean and centred, and the eye lands on the name first and stays there. Its restraint is the point: the design trusts the word to carry the whole piece.

Meaning & Symbolism

Brazil is the largest country in South America, and its name sits at the centre of this artwork as a statement of place. The design files itself under geography and travel, the two categories that most naturally hold a country's name. Reduced to its label, Brazil becomes a signpost, pointing toward a destination rather than describing it in detail.

Shaped for the Hand

A mixing glass is lifted, tipped and carried, so the design is seen in motion rather than from across a room. As the glass turns in the hand, the lettering moves around its curved body, and the name reads in short glimpses at each angle. The message keeps its clarity through the turn, which suits an object that is handled as often as it is looked at.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/sp-137-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-SP137-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793737335
