Nothing competes with that sign. The layout is simple and frontal, so the eye lands on the sign first and reads the lettering second, the way a driver takes in a route marker at speed.

Meaning & Symbolism

The SP-247 code follows the format of Brazilian state highway numbering, where the letters SP mark São Paulo state. The road sign is a familiar public symbol of navigation and place, so the design links the idea of Brazil to the everyday act of finding your way through a region. The designator anchors the image to a specific route rather than to the country as a whole.

Built for the Mixing Glass

A road sign is meant to be read quickly and from a short distance, and this glass works the same way. Its narrow lower section sits comfortably in the hand, so the sign rests close to the eye as the glass is lifted, tilted and set down again. Each time it is used, the sign is seen up close and in motion, turning a routine drink into a small journey along a Brazilian road. It makes a thoughtful gift for anyone who likes a little travel in their daily routine.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/sp-247-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-SP247-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793691046
