sp-297-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz
SP-297 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

SP-297 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

SP-297 (Brazil) takes the form of a road sign, a familiar roadside marker that names a place before you reach it.

Visual Elements & Composition

The design is built on two pieces of text: the country name, Brazil, and the reference code SP-297. Together they read as the plate on a sign. Nothing competes with the lettering. The country name draws the eye first, and the numerals beside it give the layout an orderly, catalogue-like rhythm.

Meaning & Symbolism

A road sign promises direction and claims a place. Here that claim belongs to Brazil, and the design takes national identity as its theme. The code beside the name links the sign to a system of reference, like the markers that chart a journey, so the piece reads as a signpost pointing to a nation rather than a view of one.

On the Mixing Glass

The sign wraps a tall, curved surface, so the name turns as the glass is lifted and arrives a word at a time. Lettering set this way suits an object that is held and tilted, not studied at a distance. It is a fitting gift for someone whose family, work or travels run through Brazil, and a good way to keep the country in view every time they reach for a drink.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/sp-297-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-SP297-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793691918
