A single road sign fills the frame, and the SP-315 code dominates it, set in the bold, blocky lettering of a traffic marker. Nothing surrounds the sign, so the route number does all the work and the eye lands on it at once.

Meaning & Symbolism

Brazilian highways are numbered by state and route, and the SP prefix places a road within São Paulo, the country's most populous state. A route marker is a shorthand that tells a traveller where they are and where the road leads. Here that everyday signal stands in for Brazil itself, turning a piece of roadside infrastructure into a quiet statement about place, geography and travel.

Made for the Glass in Your Hand

A glass is turned as it is lifted, so the sign reveals itself in pieces, with the route number coming round to the front as the drink reaches the lips. That suits a design built around a single marker: it reads clearly from one point and rewards a second look from another. It is a fitting keepsake for anyone who has driven, or dreams of driving, the roads of Brazil, and a good conversation starter for a home bar full of travellers.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/sp-315-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-SP315-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793741538
