The route number SP-324 is the dominant element, and the surrounding field is kept clear so the marking reads at a glance. Nothing is added for decoration, which is typical of road signage, where legibility comes first and every element has a job.

Meaning & Symbolism

The "SP" prefix identifies the state of São Paulo, the most populous state in Brazil, and "324" is the number of the highway that runs through it. The "Brazil" in the title places the sign in its national context, and the series name ties this piece to other route signs in the same collection. Together these details turn a functional marker into a record of place: a way of saying where a road is and which network it belongs to.

Designed for the Mixing Glass

A road sign is meant to be read quickly, from a distance and from a moving car. Set on a glass, the design is seen in a different way. The tapered body of this mixing glass brings the sign close to the eye and to the hand, so the route number is read up close while the glass is lifted, poured from, or turned to catch the light. It makes a fitting piece for anyone who has ever followed a highway across a map and wanted that journey on their own shelf.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/sp-324-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-SP324-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793741676
