sp-368-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz
SP-368 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

SP-368 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

This design takes a road marker as its subject and sets its route number, SP-368, at the centre of the picture with nothing competing for attention.

Visual Elements & Composition

The composition is clean and uncluttered. The route designation is the dominant element, and the surrounding space is kept open so the lettering and numerals read at a glance. There is no background scene or decorative border, so the eye goes straight to the code itself. The mood is neutral and direct, which suits a piece built around a single piece of information.

Meaning & Symbolism

"SP" is the abbreviation for the state of São Paulo, and SP-368 is one of its numbered state highways. A route marker like this is a practical sign of place: it tells travellers which road they are on and where it leads. Brazilian road signage carries that identity into everyday driving, and the design takes that small, functional marker and gives it a presence of its own. For anyone who has driven a long stretch of São Paulo state roads, or who simply loves the idea of a place recorded in a number, the code carries its own story.

On the Mixing Glass

A mixing glass is held close and turned in the hand, and its tall, curved sides keep the design in constant motion as it moves. The numerals sit well on that surface because they stay legible from any angle you tip it to. Each time the glass is lifted, the road number comes round into view again, like a waypoint you keep passing. It is a fitting pick for a friend with a love of the open road, or for someone who has a favourite stretch of Brazil they always want to go back to.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/sp-368-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-SP368-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793705452
