sp-369-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz
SP-369 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

SP-369 (Brazil) (Road Sign) Pint Glass 16oz

SP-369 (Brazil) is a conceptual design built around a single idea: the identity of Brazil, carried by a catalogued designation.

Visual Elements & Composition

The composition rests on its own nomenclature. The series code SP-369 and the word Brazil do the work, set as the title and the subject of the piece. The mood is neutral and the approach is direct, with no narrative scene competing for attention. What the viewer reads first is the designation, then the country it names.

Meaning & Symbolism

The design connects two kinds of order. One is the formal system of a numbered series, where each entry is identified by code rather than story. The other is national identity, the recognition of Brazil as a place and a culture. Placing the country's name beside a series number makes the piece a marker within a collection, and a clear reference to the nation it honours. Its themes are Brazil, national identity and series nomenclature, and it stays with that subject.

Designed for the Mixing Glass

A mixing glass is a tall, curved vessel that sits in the hand while it is filled, stirred and poured. The design wraps around that curve, so the designation and the country name turn with the glass as it is lifted and tilted. Every time it is picked up, the SP-369 code comes back into view at the same angle, making the object a small, repeated reminder of the Brazil entry in the series.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0703/5204/4312/files/sp-369-brazil-road-sign-pint-glass-16oz-GMY-MIXI-SP369-16OZ-front.webp?v=1793702300
